Bodegas Ondarre, founded in 1986, belongs to the Bodegas Olarra Group, one of the most famous names in the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja, but with wines with a character of their own.
Bodegas Ondarre is located in Viana the heart of Riojas traditional wine producing area, a historic town 8 kilometres from Logroño, Rioja's capital, rich in tradition, still preserving traces of its medieval fortress. Its name comes from a hundred-year old country house, the property of the founders of the wine cellar.
Ondare prides itself in producing quality wines, they employ modern techniques and technology whilst still keeping alive the traditions of the area. Production is solely composed of Reservas, Cask-fermented Whites and Cava sparkling wines, with a limited number of bottles. Wines of fine quality which Bodegas Ondarre want to consolidate among the most exceptional palates. |

Vineyard Notes |
| |
Bodegas Ondarre have the most advanced vinification technology. Ageing is in new American- or French-oak casks. The bodega has made special efforts to renew its stock of barrels so as to obtain this marked character in its wines which is giving them so much prestige.
The winery is equipped with the latest vinification technology, housed in spacious , tastefully designed buildings.
The whole process of production and aging, from the arrival of the grapes at the winery through to the careful extraction of the must, it's fermentation at controlled low temperatures, and the selection of locally produced yeasts, is carried out with the most modern equipment.
