Bodegas Fernandez de Manzanos, is run by an ambitious couple, keen to expand their horizons, to utilise their 100ha of vineyards and to deliver consistent, great value wines. Victor's grandfather, Lorenzo, set up the bodega in the town of Azagra in 1890 and it has steadily grown ever since, albeit with a few growth spurts at various times. Victor's wife, Guillermina, joined the family business having been a lawyer previously. Together they have accelerated the pace of growth and in 2002, they began construction of an ambitious new cellar in Azagra. |

The wines have been developed for our market under the Finca Manzanos label and include a delicious, sappy Joven tinto and a soft, creamy, mellow Crianza that really delivers Rioja character in abundance. |
