The vineyards are some of the highest in the world. The speciality of the area is the wonderfully scented version of the Torrontes grape, these are accompanied by Chardonnay, Purple-hued Malbec, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The great variation in temperature, from night to day, slows down the ripening cycle, thus ensuring good varietal character.
The vineyards of Michel Torino are working towards totally organic production.
